Tamil Nadu government Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST students studying in private Engineering,Medical,Nursing,Diploma,Teacher training,Arts and Science colleges 2012-2013

As part of the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST students devised by the Central government and implemented through States, the compulsory non-refundable fee charged towards registration/enrolment, tuition, games, union and library membership, medical examination and any other fee compulsorily payable at all private higher education— is covered, apart from a host of other fees.

1.  Central and state government is offering SC/ST scholarships to all SC/ST students studying B.E/M.E/M.B.B.S/Diploma/paramedical/Nursing courses at all government and private institutions.

2.   SC/ST students studying B.A/M.A/B.Sc/M.Sc in private colleges are waived tuition fees.

3.     The government will pay the fees on behalf of the students to the institution from 2012 onwards.

4.     Even if the students have paid the fees for 2012 session the fees can be refunded from the institutions.

5.    Students who got admission through management quota and government quota at all private colleges are also eligible for this scholarship.

Who can apply?

All SC/ST/Converted SC/ST Christians with the annual income of parents/guardian less than Rs. 2 Lakhs are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

How to apply?

You can apply to this scholarship through your institution itself with the following documents

1. A copy of the G.O’s and circular listed in the download link
2. Income certificate.
3. Caste certificate.

In case of denial

 
In case the college management denies such scholarships please feel free to contact me over my mail id.

Government has appointed monitoring committee to oversee the implementation of this scheme throughout Tamil Nadu.

Hence we are ready to help such students through proper channel. In case of denial let us know the phone number of the principal with college name and address. We will contact them directly in this regard.
